Weir

Nunzio DeFilippis and Christina Weir are a writing team who have worked in television and film, but whose primary work has come in the field of comics and graphic novels.  Trained as screenwriters (DeFilippis at USC and Weir at Emerson), they spent 2 seasons on the staff of HBO's ARLISS, before turning their attention to comics.

For Oni Press, they have written graphic novels spanning a wide array of genres.  Their works for Oni include SKINWALKER, THREE STRIKES, MARIA'S WEDDING, ONCE IN A BLUE MOON, THE TOMB and PAST LIES.  They have also worked in the field of manga, adapting numerous series from Del Rey, and creating two Original English Language Manga series for Seven Seas Entertainment, AMAZING AGENT LUNA and DESTINY'S HAND.

They have done extensive work in superhero comics as well, spending 3 years in the world of Marvel's mutants writing NEW MUTANTS, HELLIONS and NEW X-MEN.  They have also written for WONDER WOMAN, ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN, CHECKMATE and the OUTSIDERS.

They have kept their hand in film and television.  They have created stories for two episodes of Disney's animated KIM POSSIBLE.  And they have also had two feature scripts recently optioned – an adaptation of Warren Ellis' graphic novel ATMOSPHERICS for Humble Journey Films, and an original horror soap opera called PARADISE SPRINGS for Process Media.

They are currently working on a romantic comedy TV movie entitled TWO STEP for Oxygen.
