For the role of indefatigable Maggie O'Connell on CBS' hit show Northern Exposure, Janine Turner was nominated three times for Golden Globe Best Actress and once for an Emmy for best actress. She was chosen as one of People magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People and Ten Best Dressed, US Magazine's Ten Sexiest and Ten Most Beautiful and as one of Esquire magazine's Women We Love. She also starred in Cliffhanger with Sylvester Stallone, and as June Cleaver in the feature film adaptation of Leave it to Beaver, as well as appearing in many movies of the week for CBS, ABC and TBS. More recently she appeared in Robert Altman's film Dr. T and the Women and starred for two and a half years on Lifetime's Strong Medicine produced by Whoopie Goldberg and Tammy Ader. Janine’s most cherished role of all, however, has been as mother to her daughter Juliette.
