A multiple Eisner Award winner, Jill Thompson is the creator of the SCARY GODMOTHER series. The first book, SCARY GODMOTHER, has aired with consistently high ratings on the Cartoon Network since 2004. As an illustrator, Jill has earned accolades for her work on WONDER WOMAN, SWAMP THING, BLACK ORCHID and the award-winning title, SANDMAN with Neil Gaiman. Jill has also collaborated with pro wrestler turned author Mick Foley, illustrating MICK FOLEY'S HALLOWEEN HIJINX which debuted at number seven on The New York Times children's bestseller's list.

Jill has been drawing and writing for as long as she can remember. She graduated in 1987 from the American Academy of Art in Chicago and has been working professionally ever since. Jill regularly travels around the US and beyond, promoting her work by appearing at conventions, meeting fans and speaking about comics, literacy and art.
