Born in Spokane, Washington, Marcus Stevens spent most of his childhood in the Rocky Mountain west. He studied writing at the University of California at Berkeley and then film and screenwriting at UCLA.

For more than twenty years, Stevens has worked as an award winning commercial director and cameraman, filming national and international spots across the US as well as in Europe, Africa, South America, Australia and New Zealand. He currently lives in Montana.
