Stefanie Pintoff
Stefanie Pintoff is the 2008 winner of the St. Martin's Minotaur/ Mystery Writers of America First Crime Novel competition. Her novel, tentatively titled IN THE SHADOW OF GOTHAM, developed from her long-standing interests in criminology and detective fiction. After undergraduate studies at Duke University, she went on to earn a J.D. from Columbia Law School and a Ph.D. in English Literature from New York University. She has previously worked as an attorney and has also taught courses in writing and literature at NYU and Penn State.
Now a full-time writer, she is a member of Mystery Writers of America as well as the New York chapter of Sisters in Crime. She lives in Westchester County, NY with her husband, daughter, and a big dog. She is currently at work on her second Detective Ziele novel, VERSED IN MURDER.
